England’s problems

For what it’s worth, here’s my tuppence worth about England’s failure: other than inexplicably being incapable of playing as a team in a “team” game they’ve being playing since they could walk!!
Almost all the players play for one of the top Premier clubs, who week in, week out play “inferior” teams that employ exactly the same tactics against them. Some of the players who came thro’ their club’s ranks would have been experiencing this when they played for the boys and junior teams as well.
Of the foreign players from the Premiership, Tevez is, I think, the only exception who has had a good WC in contrast to Drogba, Torres et al. The players from the lower teams in the Premiership have generally all done well.
My point is that the selected England players do not have enough experience of different styles and tactics to cope in an International tournament. That’s not all the problems, not by a long way, but a significant one, in my opinion.
